Rochelle Cochrane, MD
Cataract Surgeon
Thoughtful, meticulous and deeply caring, Dr. Cochrane is an attentive listener. She likes to interact with patients in a way that eases fear and helps them understand their treatment. Dr. Cochrane enjoys helping people regain good vision and live life with the best possible eye health. Born in southern California, Rochelle entered the world while both of her parents were completing their ophthalmology training at Loma Linda University Medical Center. Rochelle and her older brother grew up in a home where medical conversations were common. During medical school, Rochelle planned to pursue general surgery. But a few days into her ophthalmology rotation, she was able to answer all of the attending surgeon’s questions and realized ophthalmology was a natural fit. Being detail-oriented, she was drawn to the precision of microsurgery and inspired by the many ways it can help people’s vision. Away from work, Dr. Cochrane enjoys exploring the great outdoors, observing wildlife, snowboarding, cycling, surfing, scuba diving, landscape photography, and hanging out with Pipsqueak, her rescue cat. A conscientious professional, Dr. Cochrane considers it a privilege to improve another person’s quality of life. “It is rewarding to be able to share any skill God has given me with those who need it."
